The marae visit

Last week we went to the marae. The marae was at Unitec a university in Auckland. We meet Papa Ho and Whaea Jess they are Maori people who are very nice. Papa Ho told us a story about a person and a stingray. They were going to New Zealand. When the story was finished we got morning tea which was  Milo, water, scones, cookies, apples, mandarins and the parents got coffee. When we got back in we got back inside we learnt a song called Te Aroha. Whaea Jess made up new moves. After that, it was time for the haka. One person said, "My legs hurts!". It was so fun I want to go back and see Papa Ho and Whaea Jees.

The sun

In-room five we made "sun poems". A sun poem is a descriptive poem about the sun. Here is mine:

The sun is a lava circle moving around mother earth.
it is a fireball orbiting our planet.

The sun is a heated ping-pong ball bouncing around the blue sky.
it is a bright lemon running in people's faces.

The sun is a two dollar coin shining brightly in people's eyes.
it is a golden bar. gleaming very shiny
